DIAD Group considers its product values related to their internal characteristics and to its life cycle. So we are constantly looking at increasing our product and services values through life cycle orientation, leading to a totally new conception of High Value Added Life Cycle Processes. Knowledge, in fact, is becoming increasingly important and is considered by us as a 'product' and require a serious approach to the management of the intellectual property rights. Thanks to the agile and flexible structure, DIAD Group is in the position to undertake subcontracted precompetitive activities within national and international projects, while remaining close to the industrial business of the companies, and saving time and resources for the R&D institutions. Conversely customer companies can derive added value from the knowledge created within DIAD Group. This enables them to focus on their own core activities, while leaving the tasks that require specialized skills to DIAD Group that have direct links with University and R&D centers. As the result of that, DIAD Group is becoming a reference points for dynamic enterprises seeking frontier knowledge and innovative services.

In the year 2001, it was founded the R&D Department whose actions, over the past years, were finalized to integrate the above research lines in European/National funded projects. The central research department of the company is very active towards all those themes aiming to the quality control of the products, the development of eco-compatible processes and advanced recycling techniques, the development of advanced systems for the treatment of industrial discards using clean energy. The objective was successfully achieved in the Sixth Framework Program. All the projects successfully evaluated and the future proposal in preparation fit into four main macro-projects in which DIAD Group have structured its R&D activity areas:
